ShakespeareÂ’s romantic comedy is revisited by Autonomous Productions in "A Midsummer NightÂ’s Dream: Re-Dreamed".
"A Midsummer NightÂ’s Dream: Re-Dreamed" propels the audience into a world of magic, faith, wonder and folly while simultaneously exploring theatre itself as a means of travelling between reality and fantasy. It is the definitive dream of this summer.
Through imagination and dreaming the local cast and crew – a diverse group of talented young people – have come together to create an entertaining and intelligent production.
ShakespeareÂ’s original text has been maintained (although slightly abridged) and this version of "A Midsummer NightÂ’s Dream" is a unique look at what has become one of his most crowd-pleasing works.
"A Midsummer NightÂ’s Dream: Re-Dreamed" adds to the long line of quality contemporary Shakespeare productions produced in WA while at the same time being innovative and relevant to the thoughtful modern Australian audience.
"A Midsummer NightÂ’s Dream: Re-Dreamed" follows the success of Autonomous ProductionsÂ’ first Shakespeare performance, "A Very Freo Much Ado About Nothing".
