Laying the Ghost concerns two ex-actresses who live in a retirement home, one of whom claims to be psychic and enjoys talking to ghosts. Things become a little complicated when an ex-husband visits with his new wife, then more complicated when his current girlfriend arrives. Add a lurking tabloid journalist and the result is a very entertaining comedy about love, loss and how to fix up your life even after you've died!
