Betty Productions Presents "PEEP"
”The Betty’s” will perform at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2006 with their original work Peep. Under AFI winner Craig Anderson’s direction, Loani Arman, Angela Carmichael, Lori Killesteyn and Belinda King tackle the stage in a high octane comedy fuelled by raw sensuality and precision performance.
Peep is best described as vaudeville re-inspired, re-imagined and given a healthy dose of spunk, however the scope of what is performed defies even that definition.
Reflecting the diverse interests of the team, PEEP also taps the vein of numerous other genres- Sit Com, Film Noir, Musicals, Variety Shows, Cartoons and Circus.
Obscure cream cake episodes, cleverly orchestrated fights and a hilarious romantic ballet are all thrown into the mix.
Join the BettyÂ’s as they rejoice in their failures in work, life, performance, aesthetic and understanding in a whirlwind of trash culture and bloodied walls.
LAUGH! at the poor, deformed, uneducated, aggressive and apathetic!
SNIGGER! at those who excel, who are beautiful and who are socially accepted.
GASP at the freaks, audio-spectacle and electro-dance!
EXPECT! a performance with no written monologues, no expositional drivels, no wordy scenes and no insulting subtext.
Everything is statedÂ…..
Everything is spectacleÂ….
And all of it is Trash.
