Stirling Players are presenting "The Ghost Train" Directed by Ailsa Travers

In the early 1920's, when it was first written, this play was a 'Dramatic Thriller'. Nowadays, 80 years on we take things more lightly and it is perceived to be a 'Melodrama'.

In the story six passengers are accidentally stranded at a country railway station. Despite the Station Master's weird and horrific stories about a 'Ghostly Train' that goes through at midnight, they decide to stay the night rather than walk through the rain to the next town. Many strange and unexplained things happen, various other people appear and ghostly forms materialise. Eventually one person takes command and all is revealed.

This was the first play ever performed by Stirling Players Inc in 1970.

There are two matinees at 2:00pm
on Sunday the 10th & 17th July 2005
