The Full Monty follows the story of six out of work steel workers in New York’s Buffalo. It begins with two best friends, Jerry and Dave, feeling like scrap after discovering what their women really think of them. Life with Harold is no better, nor is it great for the big black man Horse. Malcolm is on the verge of killing himself with a big ass rock and Ethan? Well Ethan has his own little glimmer.
They are man living in a woman’s world until they find each other. Together they form Hot Metal, a ragtag team set to do the Full Monty to make some quick cash, but leaning to be strippers is not the breeze off the river that it may seem. As practice starts, they begin to question whether or not they’ve got the goods and learn that when it comes to stripping, appearances really do rule their world.
This hilarious comedy, packed with new showbiz numbers, is a heart warming story about six average guys realising who they are. They find talents they didn’t know they had, find courage they didn’t know existed and find friends that will walk with them forever as they treat their troubles like Michael Jordan’s Ball and just let it go.
