The Secret Garden, based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic story and adapted by Neil Duffield, is about young Mary Lennox who i orphaned in India. She is sent to stay with her reclusive uncle in Misselthwaite Manor in Yorkshire. Bossy, snobbish and aloof, Mary does not fit into her new home, but then makes friends with Dickon, a local boy who understands animals and nature. She discovers a secret garden that she can tend and bring to new life. As the garden is transformed, first Mary, then Colin, her invalid cousin, then his father, all feel the power of the magic of new life and growth.
