- ...as part of It's On at The Don Performing Arts Festival
AddressThe Don Russell Performing Arts Centre, Murdoch Rd , THORNLIE WA
Wild and wacky bluegrass comedians the Sensitive New Age Cowpersons (SNACs) perform a fun-filled concert as the festival finale. We’re talking about hot banjo picking, even hotter harmony singing – and, well, not quite so hot bodies…
SNACs - widely regarded as one of AustraliaÂ’s top music/comedy groups - were formed in 1994 for a gig at the National Folk Festival in Canberra. Festival-goers were so impressed by its bluegrass-inspired lunacy that SNACs has played at all of the major country and folk festivals around Australia ever since. Its credits include shows alongside legends Slim Dusty, Keith Urban and Paul Kelly as well as a prestigious 2005 Golden Guitar nomination.
The line-up includes “Calamity” Jim Fisher (guitar), Ian “Kid” Simpson (banjo), “Stan Pede” (Fred Kuhnl on double bass), and “Doc Adams” (Adam Gare on mandolin).
