"The Beast & The Beauty'
This is a re-telling of the famous tale, but set in outback Australia in the late 1800,s. The Beast of the title is Tom, who as a baby was badly burned in a bushfire which killed his parents but Tom was saved by the family dog. He survives but is badly disfigured by the burns received in the fire. He grows up on the family station, protected by the Station hands and the small tightly knit community. A succession of house keepers over the years come and go, most of them unable to cope with his disfigurement.
Then Belle, the daughter of an improvident Irishman comes reluctantly to be his housekeeper and to her surprise finds her niche in an unfamiliar world.
to say more would be to spoil the story, so come along and experience a tale of outback life and a love story.
This will be an extended season, running from June 22 to July 14
