Set in an unspecified Latin American country, Kiss Of The Spider Woman tells
the story of two prison cell mates, the constant attempts of each to
manipulate the other to his own ends and their surprising friendship. As a
means of escaping their surroundings, at least in thought, Molina, a
flamboyant Window Dresser, amuses the revolutionary Valentin with theatrical
re-tellings of old movies and shares his obsession of Aurora who stars in
them. One incarnation Molina fears, the Spider Woman who can kill with her
kiss. The men tell each other of their lives but each is wary of revealing
too much. Is Molina an informer? Is Valentin being honest? Valentin is
regularly tortured by prison officials and so is guarded with his stories
and careful with his words. Valentin knows how to manipulate Molina into
helping with the movement upon his release, putting Molina in danger. Will
the Spider Woman claim Molina as one of her victims.....?
