Remember Harbour Theatre’s hilarious productions “Toe In The Water” and “Don’t Lose The Place” written by that master of farce and comedy, Derek Benfield. Well we are pleased to announce that our fourth season will be “Over My Dead Body” written by that very same playwright.
Gerald, a recent widower, is looking forward to spending the rest of his days alone in gentle pursuits and the quiet contemplation of his memories. However, he hasn’t taken into account his wife’s ‘Forward Planning’, which results in a series of unexpected, hilarious visits and events that Gerald certainly had not anticipated. With the help of his daughter and son-in-law, Gerald strives to maintain his independence and keep these unexpected female visitors at bay. To complicate matters even further dark secrets are exposed from the past that are both funny and poignant.
A delightfully witty and hilarious comedy, with a couple of final twists, that will make you roar with laughter one minute, feel sad the next and leave you wondering what may be in store for you as you get older!
