Directed by Angus Willoughby and written by David Meyer, 'Aces & Eights' will be premiering at the Dolphin Theatre on Tuesday the 30th of August and running until Saturday the 3rd of September.
Five players, struck low by the vicissitudes of life in the Wild West, congregate for a game of high-stakes poker. Everything they have is on the table, and they've placed their faith in the turn of the cards; will it restore them to fortune, or will it condemn them? The line between winner and loser is the line between life and death, and only one can walk away from the table unscathed. They play on behalf of friends, family, creditors and lovers, who walk the shadows around the table, eager to claim their stake...
The chill fingers of death clutch at every one of them, and escape is a matter of luck, or sleight of hand...
