Theatresports National Championships Fundraiser Join WA’s 2011 Theatresports National Championship contenders, THE PERTHONALITIES, this year featuring Shane Adamczak, Michael Burke, George Gayler and Glenn Hall – plus their friends, for two side-splitting evenings of spontaneous comedy and song with a live house band led by Tristen Parr. The 2011 Australian Theatresports National Championships will for the first time be hosted in Brisbane as part of the ‘OFF THE CUFF’ improvisation festival in late September. THE PERTHONALITIES won the championship belt in 2009 and are determined to reclaim the title once more, with your support! For a little extra Perthonality the shows will also feature: - Live house band – ‘The Resting Touchers’ – led by Tristen Parr (‘cello) with Ant Gray (guitar) and Christopher De Groot (piano). - Multi-award winning Comedian Zack Adams – direct from touring in Canada and New York John Conway – 2011 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Best Newcomer nominee, direct from Edinburgh - Diva Rhoda Lopez – raring to belt out a couple of songs after two hit shows as part of Cabaret Downstairs at The Maj - The Raconteurs – the debut performance of Perth’s newest impro group. - And other surprise guests. The Hollywood Subiaco Bowling Club bar will be open for refreshments on the night. Spontaneous Insanity has also been invited to present the hit unscripted theatre production IN A NEW YORK MINUTE as part of the festival. The show has enjoyed two sold-out seasons at the Subiaco Arts Centre and recently featured at the Australian Improvisation Convention – Improvention 2011 – in Canberra. All funds raised from the shows support the WA Team’s travel expenses to participate in the 2011 Theatresports National Championships in Brisbane.
