All in the Timing A series of strange short plays by David Ives Directed by Cassie Vagliviello, Keren Schlink, Josh Walker, Celeste Underhill, Leah Bennet, Alex Littlewood and Iskandar Sharazuddin The world according to David Ives is a very strange place indeed. His plays create a near perfect inspection of the English language – and of the audience’s aptitude for perplexity and joy. Ives’s characters are thrust into black holes called “Philadelphias,” where the simplest desires are uproariously frustrated. Russian revolutionary, Leon Trotsky faces his own death eight times. And a con man peddles courses in an invented language in which “welcome” translates as “velcro” and “fraud” comes out as “freud.” SPY is seeking enthusiastic audiences willing to enter this strange world. With six plays and seven directors, it is a great chance to support upcoming talent! All in the Timing plays at Stirling Theatre, Morris Place Innaloo from 8pm on 25, 27, 28 May. All tickets are $10 and can be booked through timing@stirlingplayers.com.au or will be available at the door. FEATURING: Ella Evans, Taylor Buoro-Long, Courtney Turner, Madelaine Page, Clare Housley, Tahlia Norrish, Josh Lang, Danen Engelenberg, Adriana Carlino, Skyler Ellis, Jacob Dibb, Matt Laurence, Emily Cribb, Tahlia McQuade, Danielle Goder, Andrew Clark. ______________________________________________________________ Stirling Players Youth (SPY) offers young people in and around the City of Stirling a creative opportunity to learn about the different aspects of performance and production.
