The energy and excitement of 1950s Las Vegas comes to the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre in April..
Multi-talented duo Adam Hall and Jessie Gordon, scintillating band the Jazzy Sextet and lavish dancers from Sugar Blue Burlesque bring it all back in a night of rollicking entertainment on Friday 15 April at 8pm.
So prepare to let your hair down and let swing take over your soul with some jivin' jazz, rockin' rhythm and blues and some good ole boogie woogie.
Most performers were in the sensational 2009 touring show I've Got News for You. Its raging success led to regular calls for their return. Those calls have been heeded and another night of great music and dance is on the agenda.
The show's repertoire also covers more recent music from the likes of Ray Charles and Harry Connick Jr.
Trumpeter and vocalist Adam Hall has long been a favourite of Perth’s jazz lovers and its legion of young swing dancers. He began making music as a 10-year-old before developing his craft in the USA at Boston’s Berklee College of Music.
Hall has played with many entertainment industry heavyweights including James Morrison, Frank Foster, Rolf Harris and Darryl Somers.
Joining Hall on stage is Jessie Gordon, a professional vocalist and swing dancer with a love for vintage 1920s–1950s swing and blues music.
A leggy pair of performers from the Sugar Blue Burlesque troupe perform a steamy fusion of classic burlesque and authentic retro dances while draped in elaborate vintage costumes
Admission is $36.90 standard, $33.70 concession and $29 for groups of 10 or more and students.
