Water Falling Down (QTC) at QPAC

Water Falling Down explores the great gulf that can exist between fathers and sons. Dad is in his seventies, gripped by grief for his recently-lost wife and slowly sliding into aphasia, an affliction which causes him to lose the connection between words and their meanings. His son, in his forties, is divorced, disaffected, and unable to relate to his own teenage boy. The two lost souls escape their troubled lives to tour Europe, a place brimming with memories of their dear departed wife and mother. Among the landmarks of the old world and the reminders of times gone by, they'll find a way of reconnecting with each other as the role of parent and caregiver is inevitably handed down. This witty, whimsical and intimate character study is a brand new Australian work by Mark Swivel, with Andrea Moor in her Queensland Theatre Company directorial debut.
