Bouffon Family: Table Matters

Renegade Productions bring to life Bouffon Family: Table Matters, October 21st – 30th 2010 at the Midland Junction Arts Centre. This exciting and unique live theatre production recalls the tradition of theatre of the image, a form of theatre that experienced a boom in popularity when the timeless comic Jacques Lecoq coined the phrase to describe a style of performance that emphasised the art of mockery. Now Renegade Productions is bringing this tradition to the Midland Junction Arts Centre, incorporating breathtaking aerial acrobatics, mockery, satire, farce and parody; this absurdist comedy explores the hilarious lives of a fractured family of clowns that love to hate each other. Heartfelt and poignant at times, unapologetically funny at others, this show is designed to delight young and old alike with its clever combination of slapstick and satire. Add to this the Renegade trademark of carefully designed set, lighting and sound composition with captivating costume and stylistic acting techniques; this production offers a refreshing alternative this theatre season.
