über Presents: THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (with Live Shadow-cast)

After an impressive performance, last month, on a weekend where there were a myriad of other events on, and the demon flu ravaged many many people, the audience poured in and the show brought the roof down.

This month coming, though, we are on a little earlier than normal... due to some upcoming film festivals... so get ready to see the cast strut their stuff onstage mid-August! :)

A reminder, for those who haven't been in a couple of months: The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cinematic celebration of the musical that changed many lives. This event is a “traditional” showing of the movie that tilted our world, with a GLBTQ slant, and more than a fetish twist. Complete with performers from the Hoyts/Greater Union Live Cast (whom performed in the show during it's record-breaking 31 years) and of course You. You, without whom there would be no audience participation. This is a monthly gyrating romp down memory lane. Coming in character, fetish dress, cross-dress, or even stages of un-dress is absolutely encouraged! Don't worry, the theatre is quite warm. Not to mention Prizes for best Dressed, 'Virgin' sacrifices, best banana eating competitions, and a whole lot more! 

After the show, join us for a drink at the bar until midnight, and then to continue the festivities... we may even go partying afterwards. More details on the night.

August the 14th, on that Saturday night, my unconventional conventionalists, we shall again revisit those days in a theatre and a location suited to the feel and the closeness that The Rocky Horror Picture Show always felt most at home in. A neighbourhood theatre, with the doors closed, the lights dimmed and the atmosphere charged.

The doors will open at 10pm and the show starts at 10:15pm. From that time on, paradise is to be OURS!

So, frock up in your Rocky Horror best. Straighten your fishnet seams, polish up those 6-inch heels, dust off your old dinner suits, remember those call-backs, find your rice and newspapers, practice your Time Warp, and grab your tickets. They are on sale now, and selling fast!
