The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie has been running on the West End for 60 years and will premier in Perth at Melville Theatre!
Four travelers arrive at their planned destination, Monkswell Manor Guest House, in the middle of a snow storm. Mr Paravicini takes refuge in the guest house after his car overturns in a snowdrift. Soon Sgt. Trotter arrives describing a murder in London that has some connection to Monkswell Manor. As the five guests and two manor owners answer Sgt. Trotter's questions and try to determine the connection, another murder occurs under their very roof! The hunt begins for a murderer as they all try to stay safe.
This notorious murder mystery opened in the West End on November 25, 1952 and has been running ever since. The play has a wonderful tradition tied to it where the identity of the killer is a secret known only to those who have seen the play. Melville Theatre asks Perth to join in the fun and keep this 60 year old secret.
