At the glittering premiere of the latest Lockwood and Lamont picture "The Royal Rascal", dashing Don Lockwood (Andrew Thompson) and the Lovely Lina Lamont (Janine Bramall) are maintaining their public image of being romantically involved with each other.
Whilst escaping his adoring fans he meets with Kathy Seldon (Natalie Edge), who does not recognize him. A blow to his ego! Irritated and intrigued by this he continues on to the producers party - who is revealing the latest new invention; a talking picture!
Highly dangerous as Lina Lamont's voice could repel the moon out of orbit! One thing leads to another and Kathy's voice is dubbed in to replace Lina's without her knowledge. It's such a success Lina blackmails the producer into forcing Kathy into a 5 year contract with no mention of any credits.
Don and the others expose Lina very publically and all know that Kathy Seldon is the true star of the show!
Oh, and yes. It rains on stage!
