The Finley Award winning University Dramatic Society is proud to present their latest original Musical Comedy "The Devil Downtown".
Maxton & Co, a once prestigious advertising agency on Blackwood Avenue, is on the verge of going under.
Andrew Reynolds is the hard-working/neurotic head of the creative department. He discovers, following an impromptu boardroom meeting, that all of their clients, save one, have abandoned them. These ex-clients cite the general incompetence and outright negligence of the team, amongst other things, as reasons for the swift termination.
Privately cursing his misfortune, Andrew receives a visitation from a seductively garbed lady in red. She reveals herself to be that timeless antagonist, the Devil. She presents Andrew with the solution to all of his woes. A contract. Simple enough. Seven months of prosperity in exchange for a humble signature.
The catch? What catch?
The contract promises an end to all of the petty insecurities and rivalries, the back biting and the office politics. One by one, the employees of Blackwood Avenue provide their signatures.
Needless to say... they should have read the fine print.
The latest and greatest musical offering from the University Dramatic Society, 'The Devil Downtown' boasts an orchestral score, rousing musical numbers, spectacular choreography and side-splitting laughs.
