Oscar Wilde's first play, produced in 1892 ended the shortage of witty plays on the English stage.
The paradoxes of this play, with its' wit and dramatic theme of a woman's honour in danger, belong, like Wilde himself to the nineteenth century, but its sparking and witty assault on the hypocrises and prejudices of his age have ensured the plays survival and continued popularity with audiences of today.
Directed by Jeff Watkins ( Quality Street,The Admirable Crighton, Sixteen Words for Water for Garrick)in his directoriall debut with Old Mill this play will delight young and old.
Sunday June 27 is a 2 pm Matinee
