ALICE IN WONDERLAND. … we’re all a bit mad here… Presented by Heidelberg Theatre Company Youth. ‘Alice in Wonderland’ is a classic tale of one girls transition from child to adolescent with a quirky, unconventional twist. One morning, Alice, a highly curious 10 yr old girl whose life unto this point had been simple and well-planned, takes it upon herself to follow a rather curious white rabbit down his rabbit hole, unaware that her actions would have some very strange, twisted and hilarious consequences. Alice soon finds out (with the help of some very peculiar characters) the importance of growing-up and the significance of finding independence. First time director, Michelle Wittrup, has not held back from indulging the disturbing undertones of Wonderland, but has maintain a colourful, quirky, side-splitting production-- involving all of Wonderland’s residents-- including the crazy Mad Hatter, the sassy Cheshire Cat, the frantic White Rabbit, the furious Queen of Hearts and many, many more. Heidelberg Theatre Company promises a rewarding, memorable and truly enjoyable night at the theatre. It might be a classic story, but you’ve never seen it done like this! Appropriate for all ages.
