Wingz Productions latest show, “Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2009 – Beware the Ides of March” is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown and is being staged on 5th December 2009. The doors will open at 7pm with pre show nibblies and will be followed by a supper afterwards.
The plays being presented at this festival are: “Moment of Truth” written by C.G. Willats directed by Michael Griffin, “A Tale of Two Men” written and directed by Rhondda Hendley, “nine-thirty-six” written and directed by Kenneth Ogilvie & “Treetop Actress” written by Miles Nordin & directed by Paul Jenkins. All the plays are produced by Sandi Owens. This evening also includes the 8th Annual Wingz Awards & Entertainment.
The plays being presented are the short-listed plays in the festival and are being judged in two categories, “Judges Choice” and “The People’s Choice” awards. All the plays contain “Beware the Ides of March” within the play. All audience members have the opportunity of voting for their choice for “The People’s Choice” Award.
Both “Tale of Two Men” & “nine-thirty-six” are both playwrights are residents of Campbelltown. “Moment of Truth” playwright comes from the Hurstville area and the playwright of “Treetop Actress” comes from Brooklyn, New York (USA).
Wingz Productions have produced many shows over their 9 year history, most recently Wingz Productions have produced “The Hound of the Baskervilles” & “Death by Chocolate”.
