Events will take a dramatic turn when Stirling Players Inc brings its latest production season to the stage. Hush Little Baby... is a collection of three moving and thought-provoking One Act plays that will be playing at the Stirling Theatre for a limited run from this August.
After a series of light-hearted comedic plays so far this year, Hush Little Baby... is ensured to change the mood on the stage and captivate Stirling audiences in a new light.
The Children of the Black Skirt by Angela Betizen and directed by Peta Flanigan is a gothic fairytale that follows the history of Australia through the spirits of children who have lived in an orphanage from convict times, through to World War Two, the Stolen Generation and beyond.
Local playwright and director Peter Flanigan will present one of his own short plays entitled Mandy. This is a moving drama that alternates between the present and the past in following the memories of a woman going through a psychological crisis.
Brendan Ellis and Joel Horwood are two young directors who together will be bringing Joseph Wallace’s play Hush Little Celia, Don’t Say a Word to the stage. This is a beautiful piece about a girl with selective mutism, and the boy who tries to get to know her.
