Dead Letters: Premier Of This New Local Comedy Play Makes For A Great Night Out Dead Letters is the new play written by local playwrights Edmund Iffland and Hamish Sinclair and presented by "Studio Four", the production team which put on "Picasso At The Lapin Agile". to packed houses earlier this year. This witty and quirky play is set in the busy dead letter office in London England, it is Clive's first day on the job and amongst the clatter of coming to grips with his new office he stumbles across what appears to be a devious plot which could change the world as we know it. "Dead Letters" is a fast pace comedy where the stakes are raised every minute and hilarity and insanity never ease up. Located somewhere between a murder mystery and a looney tunes cartoon, the show will appeal to anyone who has ever wondered what happened to their letters to Santa. Renowned for his celebrity impressions, Sydney comedian Ryan Withers is playing the part of Clive as he finds his way through a job he never thought would be so strange. Ryan is a Raw Comedy state finalist and regular on FBi Radio's segment "Jokes On You" and brings his postal sack full of comedy and split second time to the performance. After his successful depiction of Steve Martins "Picasso At The Lapin Agile", Edmund Iffland set about recreating this success with an even more ambitious project, a locally written comedy. Edmund is already an established name in the artistic community in Sydney, having performed as an actor and stand up comedien over the last four years and produced a successful solo exhibition at the Hazelhurst Gallery in the Sutherland Shire. Iffland's groundings as an artist and a stand up comedian have come together to produce this piece of intelligent, hilarious theatre. In these days when money is tight, Dead Letters is the perfect night out for a good, fun laugh which wont break the bank! Dead Letters By Edmund Iffland and Hamish Sinclair will be performed at the Studio One Theatre at the University of New South Wales, Kingsford from the 25th to the 29th of August. Tickets can be reserved at www.deadletters.info and cost $10 for Adults and $8 for Students/Children. For further information see http://www.deadletters.info
