The universe is in chaos... The Gods are rebelling... Pluto... Jupiter... Orpheus... All steamed up and all chasing the same girl. To return balance to the universe, and to preserve his public image, Orpheus must journey to the Underworld and save his wayward wife from the hellish grip of Pluto. Containing more sexual intrigue than a White House cigar box, this entirely new production sets the classic Can Can on a dramatic collision course with a funk-rock orchestra. It’s riotous operetta with a seductive twist. The descent begins! Based on “Orphee aux Enfers”; music by Jacques Offenbach, original book and lyrics by Hector Cremieux & Ludovic Halevy.
