1927

Paul Grabovac a 22 yr old Murdoch University graduate and Local Perth Boy, has written and directed his own show, “1927”. Following the Story of Valo & Steve two smooth talking Americans in the 1920’s coming into a small southern town of “Drol” to sell a brand new invention: A movie projector with sound! But this town has a few surprises; an evil priest, a wise old barman and a nymphomaniac church girl.

With heaps of laughs thanks to quick witty banter, plus some great jazzy songs composed by Murdoch Graduate Nick Choo; this production is like a condensed “Rat Pack” show, taking a leaf from those classic 1930Â’s MGM films (but highly more risqué) it is a perfect show for those who donÂ’t often go to the theatre. Be warned though, the slight nudity and coarse language might upset the very young and very old at heart.

This original show takes a stab a religion, love, life, friendships and the many ways to cheat at poker.

The season runs from the 16th till the 19th of November at 8pm, with a matinee on the 19th at 1pm A Nexus Theatre, Murdoch University.
