Well, it’s not complicated. I smoke, or I puke in the popcorn. You want me to do a flow chart?”
Frank works at a cinema kiosk but knows he is better than his job… and pretty much everything and everyone else. So when Mamta scores the job of kiosk manager, Frank is not happy. How can a Paki possibly tell him what to do?
Alaska premiered in May 2007 at the Royal Court in London. Emerging UK playwright DC Moore’s first play is fast and fierce, exploring the dynamic relationship between two people who – despite their surface differences – share a ferocious hunger for power.
“DC Moore’s debut is a searing and uncomfortable probing of prejudice in all its forms, from the offensive jokes and lazy stereotyping which pepper idle conversation to the out and out racist rants of the play’s anti-hero.” - Alice Jones, The Independent
