WARNING: THIS SHOW IS RATED MA 16+ AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN (OR REINDEER) UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE. IT CONTAINS REPRESENTATIONS OF TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS ICONOGRAPHY THAT MAY OFFEND SOME VIEWERS. IT INCLUDES ADULT THEMES, STRONG LANGUAGE, SEXUAL REFERENCES, AND MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF BESTIALITY…HO! HO! HO! The Stage Artz Theatre Company is proud to present the critically acclaimed monologue play by Jeff Goode The Eight: Reindeer Monologues at the Seymour Centre June 9-23, for 6 performances only. Scandal has erupted at the North Pole. One of Santa’s Eight (the elite corps of flying reindeer used to pull his sleigh each Christmas Eve) has accused him of decidedly un-Christmas-like behaviour. This clever, humorous, and confronting play involves a series of 8 witty monologues by each of Santa’s reindeer, who reveal the truth behind the allegations. However, do not expect happy little elves and cute smiling reindeer. Instead be prepared for a dark comedic tale of corruption, abuse, intimidation and deviancy that implicates the smallest elf, right up to the jolly fat man himself. We discover the real dirt on Santa’s perversions, Vixens allegations, Rudolph’s mental health and why Dancer no longer dances. You will never look at Santa the same way again! The Eight: Reindeer Monologues is directed by Sam Neaves and features a highly talented cast including: Dave Jones, Stephen Lloyd-Coombs, Luke Davis, Janina Hamerlock, Chris Jackson, Mitch Feltscheer, Scott Clare, and Morgan Powell. The Eight will be performed in The Sound Lounge at The Seymour Centre on the 10th-11th, 16th-17th, and 24th-25th June at 8:30pm. Tickets are $25 and can be booked by calling 9351 7940, or by logging on to www.seymour.usyd.edu.au and following the links.
