Wingz Productions latest play, “The Hound of the Baskervilles” is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown. The season opens on 17th April 2009 followed by a supper afterwards.
The play is dramatically adapted by Tim Kelly from the original Sherlock Holmes novel written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The Production is directed by David W. Owens and Produced by Sandi Owens.
David & Sandi have produced many successful shows together, some have included; “’allo ‘allo”, “Are you being served?”, “Fawlty Towers”, “Lady Windermere’s Fan”, “The Importance of Being Earnest” & “Pygmalion”. Most recently they worked together on “The Monster’s Family”, written by David W. Owens.
The production stars Michael Griffin as Sherlock Holmes, Douglas Baker as Dr. John Watson, Vincent Andriano as Sir Henry Baskerville and Lauren Weston as Lady Agatha Mortimer.
The season for the play is: Friday 17th & Saturday 18th April 2009 at 8pm and Sunday 19th April 2009 at 2pm. Tickets are $22.00 (Adults), $17.00 (Seniors/Students), $14.00 (All tickets for Sunday 19th April 2009). Tickets can be booked by calling (02) 4627-1550, tickets can also be purchased from the theatre box office from 13th April 2009.
Synopis:
With the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville, Sir Henry Baskerville arrives in England from America to take his rightful place as heir to the vast Baskerville fortune, a legacy that comes complete with a family curse — death at the fangs of a living horror prowling the English moor.
Lady Agatha Mortimer, an old friend of Dr. John Watson, calls for the assistance of the world famous criminal investigator Mr. Sherlock Holmes to uncover the truth behind Sir Charles’ death. Can Sherlock Holmes stop “the beast” from fulfilling the “Curse of the Baskervilles” and killing again.
