Circus without the boring bits
Prepare to be amazed when five acrobats battle the clock to bring you 61 Circus Acts in 60 Minutes in a Perth exclusive at Thornlie’s Don Russell Performing Arts Centre on Friday 24 April at 7.30pm.
Don’t miss this breathtaking school holiday performance from Brisbane circus troupe Circa, which performs at The Don as part its national tour to 26 locations across four states.
Be dazzled by the skill, marvel at the unicycle of death and gasp at the knife juggling and human yo-yo. Be astonished by the really strong guy and the Hula Hoop split. It’s fast, furious fun for the whole family!
Set to upbeat music and featuring multi-skilled performers, 61 Circus Acts in 60 Minutes has been loved by families across the globe.
Wherever Circa has taken this astounding, heart-stopping show, it has sold-out as audiences flock to see them race the clock.
Circa strives for innovation while promoting a vision of circus as a delightful, challenging and contemporary art form.
Its talented ensemble, directed by Yaron Lifschitz, comprises multi-skilled performers who explore and extend the limits of what circus can do.
Performer Scott Grove returns to The Don after a three-year absence, when he visited with The Crate Show. His last visit was with the stellar trio The Leaping Loonies, which toured The Crate Show with great success across Europe.
Joining him are Lachlan McAulay and Freyja Edney, both former members of the much acclaimed, 30-year-old Flying Fruit Fly Circus.
Also in the group is Mali de Goey, a seasoned professional with national and international experience. De Goey has performed with Circus Oz, Burton’s Circus and Circus Monoxide, among others.
The last member of the troupe is David Sampford, who trained and performed in New Zealand, before coming to Australia and joining Circa.
For bookings or information, call The Don on 9493 4577 or visit www.gosnells.wa.gov.au and click on the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre link to buy tickets online.
