LAUNCH for Spirithouse Theatre Company at Annandale Hotel

On Thursday the 12th of February, Sydney’s theatre and music scenes will collide as newly-formed Spirithouse Theatre Company hold their inaugural company launch at the iconic Sydney music venue, the Annandale Hotel. The launch will give the public a glimpse into the workings of a theatre company, in preparation for Spirithouse’s season of Vigil, the award-winning work from Canada’s Morris Panych. Spirithouse Theatre Company will provide opportunities for artists to perfect their craft and further their careers. We aim to attract the best, most interesting theatremakers, playwrights and actors to premiere new work, whether by Australian or overseas writers. There is a gold coin donation for entry to the launch on the 12th of February We’re encouraging everyone to join us for the company launch, to listen to the music and have a drink, whether they’re regular theatre-goers, or just curious. We’ll also be selling tickets to Vigil. Vigil is a pitch-black comedy that looks at isolation and death through a wickedly humorous lense. It tells the story of Kemp, an atomised, self-centred loner who returns to care for a dying aunt. It premieres at the Old Fitzroy Theatre from March 3 through to March 28.
