ArtsLab08 Atomiser presents ImageNation

ImageNation is a visual feast- a multimedia performance inspired by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and transformation. In a piece that explores how we view the world through images, Brigid Vidler blends charcoal animation and stop motion photography with live performance to create a rich fabric engaging imagery.

“On a daily basis we are constantly bombarded with images, most people don’t even recognize or understand how they process this information,” said Vidler.

Cutting-edge urban arts centre – Shopfront, will stage the final season program of ArtsLab08 Atomiser, running from October 24th-26th.

Brigid Vidler has over 14 years of movement and dance experience, intersected by influences from visual artists such as William Kentridge and Anselm Keifer. Vidler was a member of the ImPACT scholarship ensemble at PACT youth theatre.

Brigid Vilder’s ImageNation will be staged as part of the final season of ArtsLab08 at Shopfront on:

Friday October 24th - 8pm,
Saturday October 25th - 8pm
Sunday October 26th - 5pm
