“I’ve a feeling we're not on canvas anymore, Toto...” In this re-visioning of the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy’s quest for self-realisation leads her to the vivid, yet disturbing, Land of Vincent Van Gogh. Follow, follow, follow, follow as she stumbles down a twisted path of experimentation, madness and sunflowers. ‘We’re Off to See Van Gogh’ is an original work by Adam Scott, that combines theatre and visual arts in an absurd coming-of-age story. It’s a horse of a different colour, awash with live music and song, dabs of innuendo and pop culture, and flecks of dark, quirky comedy. So goodbye yellow brick road...we’re off to see Van Gogh. * * 7 shows at the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival * * WHERE: Fringe Festival Hub, North Melbourne Town Hall DATES: Sat 4 - 11 October (no show Mon 6) TIME: 7.45pm (6.45 Sun 5) ALL INFO AT: http://www.myspace.com/seevangogh
