Duck, Duck, Goose! Free Script Reading Tuesday 22nd July 6:30pm Upstairs at Black Swan Theatre Company (The Old Masonic Hall, 6 Broadway, NEDLANDS) Light Refreshments Provided Gray Ruby Productions invites you to the initial script reading of an exciting new production coming to The Blue Room Theatre in September 2008, Duck, Duck, Goose! After a 6 month long writing and devising process, Tuesday 22nd July marks the first public reading of the work. Duck, Duck, Goose! has been created using improvisational techniques, traditional writing practices and collaborative methods utilising all members of the company. Gray Ruby Productions is a group of young emerging artists who aim to create innovative and entertaining theatre. Duck, Duck, Goose! has been collaboratively devised by performer/producer Sarah Reuben (The Laramie Project, The Musicians), director/dramaturg Jeffrey Jay Fowler (Hope is the Saddest, Zen's Red Mouth), writer Paula Calleja (Dust), performer/producer Arielle Gray (The Laramie Project, Zen's Red Mouth) and set, costume and graphics designer Rebecca Jarvis (Dust). The one hour script reading will be followed by a 30 minute casual discussion, allowing you the opportunity to ask questions regarding our development process, the themes explored in the script and our production process. Waiting to be picked can seem to take forever. Heather and Lucy had been best friends since they were the last two standing to be picked for sports team in year two. They have done everything together; lived together, spent every Valentine’s Day alone together and came equal last at everything together. Boys had always been off the radar, after all there is nothing wrong with being a 20-something year old virgin…right? That is until Mitchell moves to town… 'Duck, Duck, Goose!' is proudly sponsored by Propelarts and by Healthway to promote the 'Drug Aware' message.
