Hare Brain
Spare Parts Puppet Theatre provides fun-filled school holiday entertainment with its madcap show Hare Brain at Don Russell Performing Arts Centre on Monday 7 July at 11am and 1pm.
Vacuum cleaners, mops and plastic bags are transformed into puppets in this modern take on Aesop’s fable The Hare and the Tortoise. Harry (Simon Clarke), a stressed-out marketing guru, and Tolouse (Mark Storen), a gentle story teller, are in a slapstick race against time to find the perfect story to explain the perfect toy. Will slow and steady win the race?
Spare Parts Puppet Theatre was established more than 20 years ago and is dedicated to stimulating creativity and the imagination of the young and the young at heart.
Earlier this year the company the hosted UNIMA 08, the world puppetry festival and conference. This prestigious event was held for the first time in the Southern Hemisphere right here in Perth.
Hare Brain is suitable for all ages, but is targeted at children aged five to 12 years.
Admission is $10 or $9 for groups of 10 or more.
For bookings and information call T: 9493 4577 or visit www.gosnells.wa.gov.au and click on the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre link to book online.
