The UDS musical of 2008, from the makers of Fresher! The Musical, Bullet Betty Vareska: The Directive of Six takes place in the golden age of jazz, noir, mobsters and private detectives. "Bullet" Betty Vareska is a private eye; the fastest gun in the city. Senator Charles T. Ryan hires Betty to look into a series of high-profile murders plaguing the city, committed by none other than his own deranged son. Betty must follow the trail of corpses left behind and try to catpure him before more murders can take place. Meanwhile, her sidekick Davey is babysitting Miss Cordelia Rose - one of the most desirable women in town and the songstress of the legendary Silver Sparrow nightclub - after an assassination attempt during one of her performances. What could be driving the Senators son to murder these high-society figures? Who would want a jazz songstress dead? And what is the slightly deranged but-no-less-deadly British assassin Rupert Redgrave III doing in town? All this and more will be answered in Bullet Betty Vareska: The Directive of Six. Feature 12 original jazz numbers with a live in-house jazz band, colorful characters, and all the eye-popping choreography that you can handle! Original book and score by James Marzec and John McPherson. Directed by Dave Gregory with musical direction by John McPherson and choreography by Jess Dunn. Featuring Lizzie Haffenden, Kristian Barron, Michael Abercromby, Louisa Fitzhardinge, James Marzec, Sophie Gallop, Spencer Davis, James Sweeny and many more!
