Maria leaves the security of her life as a novitiate at Nonnberg Abbey in Salzburg to become the Governess to the seven children of Captain Georg Von Trapp. She finds herself challenged by her new position but, through the power of music, wins the hearts of the children, and their father.

Loosely based on the real story of Maria Kutschera and the Trapp Family Singers. This show, the last collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, features some of the most popular songs in the Musical Theatre repertoire, including: Climb Ev'ry Mountain; My Favourite Things; Sixteen Goin on Seventeen; Do-Re-Mi; Edelweiss; The Lonely Goatherd; and, of course, The Sound of Music.
