AddressAshwood College, Vannam Drive Ashwood. Melway ref: 60 J10.
In a fictional Australian beachside working-class suburb called Blackrock, where surfing is popular among youths an horrific incident forces the town to confront themselves.
The incident - and the community - are soon scrutinized by news bulletins across the nation. Some carry on as if nothing has happened, others deal with their grief violently and others have to confront what it is to be a true friend.
This challenging play, now a school text, has been made into a film and has become a modern classic as it holds up a mirror to our society and wonders at its values.
Hartwell is proud to present this challenging production.
