"He who is prepared to give up basic liberties to achieve a little safety deserves neither liberty nor safety" Benjamin Franklin
Our basic freedom of speech is being eroded daily by the Government and the Courts and along with it go many other freedoms. How soon will it be before we can be arrested and detained indefinitely simply upon a suspicion that we may be a criminal? And how long after that will it be before we can be arrested and held simply because the Government needs a SCAPEGOAT?
A young man has been arrested and imprisioned. Why? Is it because of his religion? Is it because of his race? Is it simply because he was available.
His interrogator needs to get him to admit to a crime and be convicted.
She needs a SCAPEGOAT.
Tony Moore's new play examines what could happen to you soon if we do not actively oppose the continuing introduction of laws that erode our rights and civil liberties. It is a powerful play full of anguish and anger.
The World Premiere Production of this play will be held during the Adelaide Festival Fringe 2008.
Come and see your future.
