Uncle Jack

UNCLE JACK is the black sheep of the Connolly family and in MATES Theatre Society's latest production his appearance at his brother's fortieth wedding anniversary creates chaos and mayhem.

MATES Theatre Society would like to announce they have now commenced taking bookings for their production of Judith PriorÂ’s Australian comedy-musical "Uncle Jack".

Patrons are invited to attend as guests at the fortieth wedding anniversary of Harold and Maude Connolly; it is a celebration which has been carefully planned by their daughters Claire and Lorna but rapidly turns in a hilarious diaster; Mum and Dad are fighting, Uncle Jack has turned up uninvited, someone has spiked the punch and the Vicar is tiddly.

Lovers of musical theatre will be keen to secure their seat for this fun production about a dysfunctional, Australian family which cleverly intertwines music to showcase some fine vocal talent as MATES Theatre Society welcome back musical-comedy after a four year departure from this genre.

"Uncle Jack" will be a fun production to welcome back musical-comedy to the MATES' stage which sees the cast interacting with patrons throughout the evening making them feel a part of the celebration taking place on stage.

MATES Theatre Society believe this production of "Uncle Jack" offers a return to the light hearted atmosphere which was much loved by patrons in their previous productions of "Harem Scarem" and "Ma Baker's Tonic", and offers a fitting way for MATES to close their 2007 season.
