The Old Mill Theatre presents the Comedy-Drama - "The Orphans" by James Prideaux and directed by Hywel Williams.

Two eccentric sisters have spent 25 years marooned in thier hotel suite in New York. Left there while their wealthy parents went on a trip on the Titanic they are completely unaware that the world around them has changed as they never leave their room. The hotel, once an elegent abode is now run-down and almost deserted but both Catherine and Lily are unaware of this. their only outside visitor is their lawyer who brings them, in cash, every month large amounts of money from the mill inherited from their parents. however very little of it is spent as Lily, the elder insists that they need to 'save for a rainy day'

Herman the bell-hop decides to con them out of some of it but he is not a hardened crim!

Pretending to be their long-lost cousin he wins over the younger sister who longs to see something of the outside world. The sister's isolation has to end but does so in a completel;y unexpected way.
