Perth Theatre Company and Don Russell Performing Arts Centre present Bombshells
Saturday 19 May, 8pm
International award winning theatre comes to Don Russell Performing Arts Centre when Perth Theatre Company presents their production of Bombshells on Saturday 19 May at 8pm.
Bombshells is a hugely entertaining drama that navigates the emotional terrain of six larger-than-life women, each at a crossroad in their lives and barely coping with the stresses of modern living.
Covering a gamut of emotions the play tells the tale of a stressed-out yummy mummy; a back-tracking bride to be; a geeky cactus grower; an eccentric widower; a diva newly returned to the stage; and an over-the-top teenage talent show contestant.
Funny, clever and often touching, Bombshells will engage audience members through its simplicity and honesty.
The show features three dazzling and talented WA actresses, Jenny Davis (The Vagina Monologues), Christie Sistrunk (Soulmates) and Michelle Fornasier (The Lady Aoi) and is directed by celebrated PTC director Alan Becher.
Bombshells – originally written by Joanna Murray-Smith – won the 2004 Fringe First Award at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s biggest performing arts show and the 2005 London Theatre Goers Choice Award.
Tickets are $32.50 standard, $29.50 concession or $26.50 for groups of 10 or more and can be purchased by calling The Don on T: 9493 4577.
