Fresher! The Musical

Lock up your daughters and nail down your valuables - there's a new play in town and its name is Fresher! The Musical! This two-hour theatrical adventure is brought to you by the University Dramatic Society, the creators of sell-out hits 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Tertles', 'Captin Planet' and 'Smerfs'. Fresher! The Musical tells the story of that first and most memorable year of tertiary study (where anything goes and frequently does) in the style of an epic, loaded with a swag of toe-tapping tunes. Join the ironically-named first-year Arts/Music student Earnest Fresher on his quest to find his way through the double standards and class divides of university. And the inevitable twist: Fresher falls hopelessly in love with Stacey Summerson, the prettiest girl in the Law School - a love forbidden by her jilted fiancee, law jock Chad Filmore. Fresher's conflict with Chad soon draws the entire university into a vicious civil war. With only his merry men (the nerd, the drunk, and the inbred hick) and his lady by his side, one man must put things right. Will the lovers be wed? Will the engineers build bridges and kiss ladies? And is the Arts degree even worth the paper it's printed on? These questions, and less, will be vaguely answered in Fresher! The Musical! It's your first year of uni, only better and set to music!
