A gothic tale about a young man called Rupert who, in the midst of a deep, dark and snow-laden wood, comes across a mysterious family whose lives have been made wretched by the terrible spell that hangs over them.

But wait a moment, this tale can’t be Percy Parton’s Very Own Story, because Peter Patchett claims it’s his Very Own Story and he has the contract to prove it!

But wait another moment! It can’t be Peter Patchett’s Very Own Story, for according to Paul Peel, it’s his Very Own Story, and he has the contract to prove it as well!

As three story-tellers squabble - their differing artistic visions bring them into constant conflict - a macabre, darkly humorous morality tale is brought to life.

This delightful play for families is distinguished by Alan Ayckbourn’s characteristic wit and astonishing theatrical imagination. And just whose story does it end up being?
My Very Own, of course, depending on whether you’re Percy, Peter or Paul!
