‘Luv Struk’ … this comical adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is set amongst the vineyards of the picturesque Swan Valley. Enhanced with charming melodies performed exquisitely by musician, Carmelo Grasso, to add ‘palpable ambience’, this engaging production gives new life to an old classic.
kompany M, renowned for the legendary ROAD TRAIN and great Australian stories such as WINDOWS, THE GUN and the critically acclaimed FAIR DINKUM, bring their superb talents to this fun-filled show with a local bent that bubbles over with energy and merriment.
When Robbo and Julie fall madly in love, the rift between the Contivich and Lamontague vineyards deepens ... but true love conquers all and after much ado, the champagne corks are popping!
‘Luv Struk ’was first performed at the Swan Valley Midsummer Festival to a highly appreciative audience. This limited season-by-demand, set in the ambient surrounds of Taylor’s Art & Coffee House, is sure to be another successful crowd pleaser.
Book in for a fabulous meal at the gallery café, enjoy the warm hospitality of Caz and Michael and view the ever inspiring prints of Jude Taylor. Then wander through the alfresco dining area … glass of wine in hand … to the rustic ‘theatre’ where the
kompany M ensemble will treat audience members to a sparkling evening that even The Bard himself would enjoy!
