IT'S ON AT THE DON 2007 OPENING CONCERT! Spicy music concocted in the wetlands of Louisiana is the fare of the FREE opening concert in this year’s festival. Cahoots: Cajun Down Under are among Australia’s leading exponents of Cajun music, which celebrates life in the bayous with a distinctive blend of Country and the Blues. Cahoots combine twin fiddles, accordions, guitar, bass, traditional Cajun percussion and vocals in a toe-tapping session of waltzes, two-steps and jitterbugs. Musical director Peter Marcinkowski leads the group of multitalented musicians including Dave Cornwell, Madge Smith, Pete Devlin, Alan Abraham and Pete Proctor. Bring the family to this early evening concert of foot-stomping fun! Bookings Essential – Max. 6 tickets per booking
