This rock opera tells the story of Jesus, not from birth, but just before the time of his crucifixion and resurrection. This story through the troubled eyes of Judas Iscariot. the disciple who betrays Christ, who begins by expressing uneasiness about Jesus' growing popularity. Mary, whom Jesus has saved, follows the disciples around trying to soothe Jesus. The other disciples, in the rock opera, are self-centered and a little slow, but loyal. The rock opera covers the events of Palm Sunday, healing the sick, Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, his trial, flogging, and crucifixion.
