Dolly's back where she belongs!
Right on your stage!
The glitz and glamour and the dynamic dance routines are all integral parts of the next In-house production Hello Dolly! The role of Dolly is played by Sharon Boaden who has starred in other musicals at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, most recently as Jane Blonde and also as the irreverent nun in Brother LoveÂ’s Travelling Salvation Show.
Hello Dolly! is based on the play The Matchmaker, and follows the escapades of Mrs Dolly Levi, who meddles in other peopleÂ’s affairs, in particular matchmaking. Dolly has resolved to marry the millionaire Horace Vandergelder. Tony Weire has been cast in the role of Vandergelder, Propriter of a Hay & Feed Store in Yonkers N.Y. he is a client of Dolly LeviÂ’s, and a widower of considerable means. Other accomplished cast members include Paul Hall as Cornelius, Brad Tudor as Barnaby and Scott Hansen as Ambrose Kemper. The young reserved ladies are played by Hannah Friend as Minnie Fay, Amanda Savage as Ermengarde and Janine Brammall is perfect as Irene Molloy.
A lavish set has been planned along with gorgeous costumes to make this production a showpiece.
The Director Julie Hall is working alongside the production team to make this show a spectacle. Some tremendously talented people are part of the team and include Kellie Morfitt and Rebecca Boddy as Choreographers, with Luke Savage Musical Director.
