In Closer, Patrick Marber has created a brilliant exploration into the brutal anatomy of modern romance, where a quartet of strangers meet, fall in love, and become caught up in a web of sexual desire and betrayal. Closer was hailed as one of the best new plays of the nineties, and as the London Observer noted, it "has wired itself into the cultural vocabulary in a way that few plays have ever done." The play is at times both moving and incredibly funny.

The dialogue is crafted with a raw sincerity and is filled with frank exchanges that every member of the audience will either recall in their own lives or wish that they had had such an honest and liberating conversation with someone in their past or present.

Please note this production contains strong adult themes and coarse language - parental guidance is recommended.

Closer stars Alexis Fishman, Chris Gorley, Kimberley Hews & Andrew Steel.

Alexis Fishman stars as Alice.

Alexis is a 2004 graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. In 2005 Alexis starred as Little Sally in Canned Laughter's award-winning Sydney premiere of Urinetown The Musical before making her professional debut as Mary O'Brien in Dusty. She was recently nominated for a Helpmann award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical.
